| Places To Stay...
There's been much posted on our Facebook
page regarding the selection and booking of hotels for
the event. We know this can be confusing when it
is made in different posts over a span of time so I have
decided to make this page which hopefully will ask most
of your questions and help us determine which rooms
(there are currently over 90 rooms reserved in 4
different hotels) we will want to keep and which ones we
will terminate the contracts on as we move forward.
There is also a questionnaire at the end of this page
that will help us to make the right decisions. If
you still plan on attending the event,
please click here for the
questionnaire or simply go to the end of this
page after you have reviewed the following info.
If you call any of the hotels, you should tell them you
are with the Herbie's 50th Anniversary Group.
Current Rooms Reserved For Event
Disney World All Star Movies Resort
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com
We now have 15 rooms reserved as a block. We would need
to book at least 10 rooms in order to get the
prices and perks listed
here. If we do not take these rooms before
December 14th, I will be forced to cancel the block or
pay for a 10 room minimum, so if you really want to stay at
Disney, please start talking this up on our Facebook
page and get as many as possible to join you. We
might be able to get extra rooms if necessary, but must
keep at least 10 on any one night (the only block of
rooms we have that has a penalty clause). The reservations
are for arriving March 14th, 2019 and checking out on
the morning of March 18th. If you need extra days and/or would
want to stay a shorter period of time, just let them
know when making the reservation. You must make
your own reservation, putting down a one night deposit,
and will be held responsible for the cost if you decide
to cancel and/or change the number of nights which could
affect others in the group so be sure you are seriously
considering this option. Disney will not take
reservations until Monday, September 17, 2018, and they
cannot guarantee that the rooms will be in the Herbie
wing although that has been requested and they say that
they do their best to fulfill the visitors request.
Bottom Line, around $192/night.
Summary
1. Fifteen (15) rooms currently reserved for
event.
2. Must use at least 10 rooms per day otherwise
charged for unused rooms.
3. Block reserved for Thursday March 14 and
checking out Monday March 18.
4. Extra nights may be available if needed.
5. Rooms have 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed and
sleep 4.
6. Individuals could choose to share rooms to
reduce cost.
7. Reservations can be made starting Monday,
September 17, 2018.
8. Block of rooms NOT GUARANTEED for
Herbie wing.

Disney World All Star Movies Resort
(Private Reserved Rooms)
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com
Since we were not sure if we could even get a block of
rooms, we also booked 3 rooms for the same nights
Thursday March 14th and checking out Monday March 18th.
These rooms were reserved and a deposit was made for
each room to hold them for us. If you take one of these rooms for
one or more days, you will not be getting the perks
listed above but again should be in the Herbie wing
(but that is not guaranteed).
Also, the parking fee is not included but they can be
cancelled up to a week in advance of the event.
Two people have already asked to reserve these for them
(vs. the block) and the last one will be held in reserve
just in case. We highly recommend that anyone else
who may want to go this direction to ensure they have a
room at Disney should call and make their own
reservation as soon as possible.
Bottom Line, around $185/night.
Summary
1. Three (3) rooms currently reserved with two
already taken and one held in reserve.
2. No minimum number required.
3. Block reserved for Thursday March 14 and
checking out Monday March 18.
4. Extra nights may be available if needed.
5. Rooms have 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed and
sleep 4.
6. Individuals could choose to share rooms to
reduce cost.
7. Reservations can be made now by calling
Disney booking (407) 939-1936.
8. Block of rooms NOT GUARANTEED for

Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort
Hotel
2000 Hotel Plaza Blvd, Lake Buena
Vista, FL 32830
https://www.bestwestern.com
The Best Western is a very nice hotel located at the
north entrance of Disney/Disney Springs. We could
not get a block of rooms here although individual rooms
do seem to be available. Currently we know of one
family staying here due to it's closeness to Disney and
walking distance to Disney Springs, restaurants, etc..
The price seems to be inline with the Disney All Star
Resort, i.e., around $185-$190/night. If you plan
on staying here, you will pretty much be on your own.
Bottom Line, around $185-$190/night.
Summary
1. No block of rooms reserved for event.
2. Can book whatever nights you desire.
3. Close to Disney/Attractions
4. Rooms have 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed.
5. Individuals could choose to share rooms to
reduce cost.
6. Reservations can be made at any time by
calling (407) 828-2424.
7. Limited number of rooms available, i.e., you
may be by yourself.
8. No additional security for cars.

Comfort Inn - Lake Buena Vista
8686 Palm Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32836
https://www.choicehotels.com
I was looking for a lower cost hotel that might be close
to Disney and came across this one.
I have 15 rooms reserved and it is just across
the street from the Disney entrance within walking
distance of The Best Western. I really do not
believe this hotel has that much to offer (for one I do
not like the parking area) and if no one
expresses interest in it before July 15th, I'm going to
cancel the reservations...
Bottom Line, around $145/night.
Summary
1. Fifteen (15) rooms currently reserved for
event.
2. Block reserved for Thursday March 14 and
checking out Monday March 18.
3. Extra nights may be available if needed.
4. Rooms have 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed.
5. Individuals could choose to share rooms to
reduce cost.
6. Reservations can be made by calling (480)
653-9329.
7. Concern regarding parking area.
8. No additional security for cars..

Comfort Inn Maingate East
2775 Florida Plaza Blvd, Kissimmee,
FL 34746
https://www.choicehotels.com
This hotel has been around for years and is
approximately 2 miles from the South entrance to Disney
and right next to Old Town in Kissimmee where we
hopefully will be spending Saturday afternoon and Fun
Spot for the children.
it's a very nice hotel with a well lit parking area and is isolated from all the heavy traffic of
Disney hopefully making it safer for leaving our cars.
Anyway, they have an area where we can meet if we would
like, a pool open 24 hours, etc., and I have booked
15 rooms with King size beds and one pullout couch,
and 10 rooms with double Queen size beds. A
nice medium priced hotel with plenty of room.
Bottom Line, around $135/night.
Summary
1. Twenty Five (25) rooms currently reserved
for event.
2. Block reserved for Thursday March 14 and
checking out Monday March 18.
3. Extra nights may be available if needed.
4. Rooms have 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed.
5. Individuals could choose to share rooms to
reduce cost.
6. Reservations can be made by calling (407)
397-7848.
7. Well lit parking area all in front of hotel.
8. Currently planning on additional security
for cars, i.e., live video feed.
9. Close to Disney with Bus Service and next
door to Old Town USA and Fun Spot.

Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate East
5678 W
Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746
http://www.seralagohotel.com/
The Seralago is located just around the corner from the
Comfort Inn Maingate, Old Town USA and Fun Spot for the
children. It is an older hotel but I
have personally used it for 8 years as a host hotel for
Jingle Bugs Rock and it was always clean when we stayed
there. I've
reserved 25 rooms, 20 with two double beds and 5
family suites which have one double bed and a separate
room for up to 3 children. Again, they have amble
parking which is well lit, and like the CI, bus service
to/from Disney.
Bottom Line, around $67/night for double beds ($74
pool side)
and $85/night for the family suites.
Summary
1. Twenty Five (25) rooms currently reserved
for event.
2. Block reserved for Thursday March 14 and
checking out Monday March 18.
3. Extra nights may be available if needed.
4. Rooms have 2 Double Beds or a Queen Bed with
Bunk Beds in the Children's Suite (holds two adults and
three children).
5. Individuals could choose to share rooms to
reduce cost.
6. Reservations can be made by calling (407)
396-4488.
7. Well lit parking area.
8. No additional security for cars.
9. Close to Disney with Bus Service and next
door to Comfort Inn Maingate, Old Town USA and Fun Spot.

Once again, please do not be in a hurry to make your
reservations, there are plenty of reserved rooms/options
and plenty of time. However, it would be
really helpful to determine where most individuals
believe they would like to stay, especially if you want
to stay at the All Star Resort.
Below is a snapshot of where the hotels are located
giving you an idea of where they are as related to
Disney.
My preference would be to primarily use the Comfort Inn Maingate and The Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate
East so that most of us would be together.
However, it really doesn't make much difference unless
you are looking for that little extra protection for you
cars in that we will probably be staying at the Comfort
Inn Maingate and with that, plan on having video
surveillance throughout the night. For
those who want to stay at Disney, we will still meet at
the Herbie Hotel as planned on Saturday . The
Comfort Inn

Questionnaire
Remember, this does not commit you to
anything. We know things change and March is a
long time away.
However, we really could use the help
narrowing down the hotel(s) to help with planning...
(Very, very important! Please take
a second to check the boxes that apply and submit it
back to us ASAP.)
